You've heard it a million times, "I hate LA, wahhh wahhh wahhh". It's the token statement from some transplant who's hit their wall and realize their mother was right and their dreams of being an actor were futile! As an LA native myself, it's pretty damn frustrating when you hear someone who's been in LA all but 6 months say the city sucks and has nothing to offer. I can't imagine going somewhere else and saying that, it's just ignorant! LA's good, once you find the right people to surround yourself with and not the fake, not the shallow, not the fellow transplant who's turned into a cold-hearted weirdo. LA does suck, much like everywhere else on the planet & in the US. The big difference is weather, beach, killer music scene, sailing, surfing, hiking, good looking, in shape, people who care about their physical being. LA has people in it who had the balls to pursue something other than the 9-5 gig at the factory or at enterprise leasing, people who are chill & let others chill however they damn please. Its a unique, one of a kind, illegal immigrant infested city filled with stupid people in charge of producing bad movies & running huge unions like SAG.
The point is, I love LA & hate it all at the same time. After all, a coin has two sides on it...but in the end, Long Live LA & may its people prosper despite the haters! Go Celtics!
